I broke off the covers and started installing my new GPS today. I covered up the hole that the previous Garmin fit into as a flush mount with a piece of starboard. I want to install the unit on the gimbal mount so it will be easier for my eyes to see and I can adjust the angle depending on the light/seating conditions.
When you come thru the dash with the two cables antenna and power what do you do to seal it so sea water can't get into it either by splash or running down the wires. They don't give you any kind of grommet or anything Any ideas
