I have to ask a "rookie" question here. Why does one need a fresh water tank system? Unless it is for cooling the motor as I have seen in Ebay ads for boats with inboards,"fresh water cooled". So I am wondering why the fresh water tank.

i wade fish a lot (when i used to fish, lol) and would love to have a fresh water system to wash the salt out my reels as soon as i get back to the boat. the salt is very corrosive and a fresh water tank can add years to the life of ur gear. plus, since i am not completely bald, i like to wash the salt outta my hair also. good for cleaning fish on an overnighter too.

i used it a lot when diving for a quick shower and it is great for washing the salt off of your sunglasses. i am in fl when water temp is 82 and the air 92, you get crusty quick.
