Default Made the deal

Just wanted to post that yesterday I purchased the V-20 that I had asked for help with in the For-Sale string. :)
Someone has stolen the Johnson engine cowling and the seller was able to get a used Evinrude hood so I am looking for a decent used Johnson to put back on..(over 600 bucks to order a new one!)
Anyway most of my restoration will be cosmetic. MJ after reading about your outboard conversion I was curious if the Stainless Corp. bracket on mine had been modified or shimmed but luckily it came off another V-20 and was made specifically for this rig.
Just waiting for sunny weather and I will start getting her ship-shape.
Regards,
Capt. Jerry

NICE!!!!!!! Congrats on the purchase. I think you're going to be happy with that boat. Lets see some pics when you get a chance.

Were you able to get him to lower the price at all?

Check EBAY for the cowling. There always seems to be alot of them for sale there. Or look around boat dealers yards for a blown engine selling for parts.

Sounds great!! Does your bracket have the swim platform??
I had to shim mine on the ends of the swim platform. Mine came off a 23 foot SeaCraft Thay guy was taking it off to put on a twin bracket.

M.J. Yes the Bracket has the swim platform. Chumbucket I took some Pics of it today and optimized them to between 30-40 KB.
How do I get them posted to the site?
Today I decided on the seating arrangment and went with a basic Todd Helm and a Cheapo lounge. ( At least it has Plastic Framing). Needed the stern facing seat for skiing. Cabin Cushions are next them side curtains and unfortunately :( I have to sand and paint the bottom.
Anyway I am [glow=red,2,300]stoked![/glow] Can't wait to get you guys opinion on how she looks.

Capt. Jerry

Nice pics! I really like it. The starboard side is set up like my buddy's '83 Steplift with the pedistal seat and cooler behind, then he did the same on the port side. That's a real sweet setup with the full transom and bracket. Now I can't wait to hear how she performs. Bet you can't wait to get on the water either now.
Good job Capt Jerry! ;)
