Default Starboard List

A while back I posted a question about a starboard list that I seem to have (not me the boat )
I had several replys suggesting that I lose weight, drink less beer( that is not in the cards) and stand more to the center of the boat.
I found the cause. When I come in I always flush the motor and to do so I have it trimmed all the way up and turned over so that all the weight is on the starboard side. This motor weighs a lot more than the one I replaced
. I turned the wheel to port and got a port list.
Now all I have to do is rember to keep it centered and I am all set. Capt K

Glad you figured it out!!

I was reading on another site just yesterday that a guy bought a Brand New Boat (Brand??) And it had a list. He tryed everything to get it stright and nothing?? Went to the dealer and they said it was the battery and he had them put another battery on the other side, Nothing??
After doing everthing they could do it was still listing.

Well to make a long story shorter They figured it out, The I/O motor was put in the boat 2" more to one side!! It was not centered!!
After battling with the dealer and the Boat Manufacture, he is going to court!!!
What a mess!!

Good Luck!!

Strange you should mention that A guy that ties up at the marina that I am at bought a brand new (I think Pro Craft ) He put a pair of 250 / 4strokes on it, could not get on plane Come to find out the boat calls for 30ins shafts and they rigged it with 25ins, shafts. The dealer made good and is fighting with the company for the difference.
