The flip side is if Putins losing the war if he will resort to using small tactical nukes - on military target .

This would generate a he just went nuclear moment and likely sue for peace rather than escalate .

There is no winning nuclear war - theres only degrees towards doomsday.
In an all out 1st strike by Russia, 1/3 our population dies instantly - over 100 million people.
We do likewise to Russia, and those that survive wish they didnt.
Its been estimated that somewhere between 10 to 100 large nucs used would destroy earth for humans.
Russia has over 6,000 and we have close to that so that would destroy earth many times over.

The ONLY WAY to eliminate the risk of nuclear war is to eliminate ALL nuclear weapons.
Not likely given humanity.
