I am almost done rebuilding my transom, 82 V20 OB. Going to start replacing the stringers and bulkheads. From what is left of the demo it appears that the rear bulkhead was notched several inches to allow the stringer to go through the bulkhead for at least several inches. See attached pics. Can anyone confirm that this is true? If so how high was the bulkhead notched and how far did the stringer pass thru the bulkhead?
Monday Edit, upon further inspection my belief is that rear bulkhead and the stringer where they intersect are notched about 5 inches so they can interconnect. The height of the stringer at this point is about 10.5 inches. From where this stringer starts (at the bulkhead just forward of the gas tank) to the transom is around 91 inches which means that it can be one continuous piece from an 8ft or longer board.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are showing , I'm sure the heavy hitters will be coming in . Wish I could give you advice but I don't see anything wrong. I will be watching this post too.
