Default 1992 Yamaha 150hp Saltwater Series

Off my recently purchased V-21. This motor spent the beginning of its life in Florida. I purchased boat and motor from a member of this site (94V21 is his handle) that lives in VA. He used it in fresh water a couple of times. He did over $400 worth of work on the motor which included 2 new fuel pumps and some other things. I have the paperwork. Since I've had it I've put probably 15 hours on it. The first 8 hours were problem free. Then I decided to check the compression - I can't remember the exact order of cylinders but compression was as follows when I checked it 2 weeks ago:
100 - 95 - 90 - 95 - 95 - 90

I did a stupid thing when I checked compression - I left the fuel and oil lines hooked up and dumped a bunch of fuel and oil in the cylinders. Subsequently, on the next outing I foulded a couple of spark plugs. I replaced all 6 plugs with new and have ran the boat for a couple of hours with no problems. Hours on the motor are unknown. Cowl is pretty faded and has had some cosmetic painting done around the top where the salt and sun had its way over the years. Doesn't look that bad but a newer cowl would make this motor look a whole lot better. Steering tongue is rusted. Lower unit looks new to me. Under the hood she is nice and clean. P/O replaced the waterpump impeller and lower unit grease recently. I'm asking $3000 obo. If no takers on here, I'm going to put it on eBay for $2800 with no reserve. I bought a brand new motor, therefore I'm letting this one go. I just used this motor yesterday and rode her probably 20 miles or so on a lake. 4 adults and 2 kids and I was hitting 36mph on flat water. One thing I forgot to mention is there is a slight hesitation when you turn the key to start the motor. Sounds like a weak battery, but after a second or so it turns like normal and starts right up. Battery definitely has charge. Motor idles fine at 800 rpm but wants to cut off at 500 or 600 rpms. I don't know when the last carb rebuild was done, but IMHO its time. PROP, controls, oil tank NOT INCLUDED. Here are the pics. A couple show it running:

Brand new in the box leftover 2004 150hp Yamaha carbed outboard. If the dealership will get off their tail and get it installed I'll drag it home and take some pics!
