Ocean's still pretty rough from Michael just going by. Might be forced inshore. But the day itself is looking pretty good.

Sun- NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming SW in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of 7 seconds.

Gonna need long pants and sweat shirts for the first time since June!

It'll be flat inshore with the NW blowing all day today and calming down tomorrow. Still to early for striper trolling.

Get out to Shark River Reef for KEEPER sea bass and a shot at bluefins on the surface.

We got out today, Sunday as planned - out the inlet before 7:30 am.

Ocean was settling nicely and we ran out in my V21 to the Shark River Reef.
Moved around and found the sea bass and porgies on assorted structure.

Jigs and bait then my friends girlfriend jig smashes by gator blue that was luckily hooked
in corner of mouth so didn***8217;t break off. Had fun watching her on her first big blue that we
eventually got to the net. Likely 15 lb class at 34***8221; and thick.

Hit more, smaller blues to - lots of action hooking lots of throw backs and keepers before heading in around 1 pm .

Beautiful ocean
