Default 06.16.2018 - Fluke fishing

Went out to do some Fluke fishing yesterday with Sal and Lloyd. It was a beautiful day and the fishing started off with a bang. On the way out we spotted the birds working, I managed to get one Blue fish before they disappeared. The next stop was by the Marine Parkway Bridge and we ran into plenty of schoolie Striped Bass. I had a ball using my ultra light St. Croix stick and an XR1000 Shimano spinner with 6lb test. We caught 6 and all were released, then it was off to Fluke fish. We caught 20, Lloyd caught 4 with two keepers, one was 19 1/2" and his second was 20 1/2", Sal caught 7 shorts, I caught 9 with one 19 1/2" keeper. The Rocker queen for the day was Sal with 8, I had 7 and Lloyd had 5. Rockers are what we call Sea Robins. It was a great day to be on the water with friends. Joe and Maureen missed you guy's out there, feel better. Check out the video.

Hey Phat, I used it last year for Black fish and I was using it on Saturday for Fluke. I think you an make it out in the video and let me tell you I love that stick. It's almost like using a spinner, it's a great jigging stick and I hate jigging.
