Congrats, some rough going at the Hudson even for some longfin but its still worth the trip especially when your ride is 50 plus sport fishing boat.
The sword looked to be bigger before the lie detector. Its great to be fishing anytime but you folks went top self!!!!!!!!Awesome

We had guesses between 175 and 250! My brother and I were the low side. They always look bigger than they weigh.

We got the sword near the 100 square in 800 ft. It was 315 am and we had just started the motor to move to the south side where the fleet was. My brother started reeling in the sword baits and felt some lite wacks on the way in. Squid came in a little mangled. Then he took three turns on the other sword rod and it took off. We think he was eyeballing the baits and the movement got him biting. That has happened to us down in Florida a few times.

We went to the south side, caught some live squid and got attacked by yft within 20 minutes. My brother got a nice 60# fish in the box. I was jigging an 8 oz hammered jig and standing next to a dead stick that went off. I clicked it in gear and then my jig got wacked, we boated both fish. It all happened in 30 minutes. yft running into our lights chasing squid. Guys missed a few more fish on squid & jig. Then it was over. Thats why the video has no tuna...I was busy fishing & gaffing. Nothing but a small skipjack on the troll in the morning.

Sword is AWESOME!!!... You can find it in some of the better restaurants. NOT cheap, but a great meal.
