Does anyone know of a shop that has experience with V-20 restoration? My father recently passed away and we are trying to figure out what to do with the V-20. Its an 84 I believe.
It was always well cared for, but with anything that age it needs a once over to live on a few more decades. The transom is a little wet and I'm sure the stringers need at least some attention as well. We are not in a position to DIY. I cant afford a flashy rebuild and I cant afford to get the wrong person and have to do it twice. Just looking for someone to address the issues, strengthen the weak points and maybe convert to a bracket from the outboard well. It will then get either a new Suzuki or a good used E-Tec. Mid-Atlantic is preferred, but can travel for the right person. Thanks |

First ,I don't know anyone but I am very happy that you are going to keep your dads V20 , Im sure someone will get back to you soon, I would like to know how much it would cost to do a transom the right way. A great way to remember your dad.

Having just done transom and stringers with seacast the cost of materials, seacast, resin, matt biax, and all the miscellaneous is between 3 & 4k
Add labor from a shop @ $100+ an hr and it would probably be cost prohibitive. would be for me IMG_E5524.jpg |
