Default Fluke

Wound up fluking yesterday, Saturday with fog till about 11am.

Tried with the party boats for blues early but wasn't happening. Since the blues were scattered, tried trolling stretch 25' and surprisingly....a big seabass had the spirit to chase down the big lure. Happy to throw that fish back.

Sun came out with nice SE breeze. Instead of working areas hard with short repeated drifts I decided to relax with long drifts, 3 rods all set up differently and it worked. Old school 3 way swivel 1' up from sinker with leader, hook, and bait worked well too.

4 keepers, all at just legal to 19", plus maybe 10 throw backs 16" -17" for the day.
Really thought I had a doormat based on head shake feel but turned out to be a shark.
That's it for fluking this year.

Special thanks to Step-Up for gear I didn't get to use, but hopefully chance next year !
