Pretty good trucks from what I've heard. Should have the 6 speed auto in it. 3.08 gears are the highway set, and 3.42's are for towing. With the deep gearing of the 6 speed, you can run the tall grars, and still have lower effective gearing than the 4 speed autos with 4.10's.

Nice truck!

I have driven several Tahoes at work with the 5.3, they have plenty of power and got twice the gas mileage that the Crown Vics got doing the same job.

great engine, don't know if they corrected it or not, but they tend to knock a little on a cold start. at east the earlier ones did. ferm or spare will know.

have 195000 of an 02 tahoe, burns a quart every 4000 miles

best vehicle i have ever owned.
