Default Any experience with Seacraft 23' Sceptre ?

Any of you have experience to comment on reality of 23' Seacraft Sceptre ride ....70's - 80's vintage ?

The guys on the Seacraft site report fantastic ride characteristics.
Just how much better is the ride given the deeper V and such.

Some day, maybe, but not now because my V21 is nearly perfect ....

Never been on one, but great looking hulls, dont care for the cap and windsheild design though, like the Seafari s better. Once in a while a steal of a deal comes up on a project one.

I think Ferm posted a video of a 25' Seafari in some rolling seas riding straight through them no problem.

Bigshrimpin' has had both V20s and Seacrafts, don't know if he's owned a Sceptre/Tsunami though.

I've ridden in both, and there is no comparison between the two. The SEACRAFT will slice through the chop and leave the V-20. Also the variable deadrise hull of the SEACRAFT is MUCH more stable at anchor. It's really an apples to oranges comparison though.

If I ever get rid of BR Sceptre is my next boat. It would have to be a cherry at low price. Doubt it happens.

Had shot at one right here in NJ about 10 years ago....

Already had a Mako CC, no room at home etc.

Should have !! Hey, that's fine, maybe some day.

Lots of people rave about the ride, a few report it could be better, so for fun and data I continue to inquire here and there..... maybe get a ride on one, one guy offered a while back.

My V21 is close to perfectly set up now, so we'll see.........
Regards

My dad runs a 73 seacraft 20 master angler center console. It's a narrow beam leaves other 20,s behind in a head sea, will stuff the bow and spray over the t top in a following sea but is and I/o and has a 40 gal live well hanging off the transom over the outdrive. A good family friend has. 23 center console and the quality is hands down on another level. Eats head seas gets run hard trolls great and wouldn't hesitate to be offshore in it. Not much experience in a tsunami or sceptre though.
