It is a sad day today. My brother's Aquasport 290 sunk at the dock in Pompano Beach. We had some great times on that boat.
She's been very neglected for many years since he doesn't live there anymore. But his dock was free so she stayed in the water and the neighbors kept an eye out and ran it once in a while. We already had our annual winter trip planned to "work on the boat enough to go fishing". Heading down in 2 weeks! His buddy had her running and took her out a couple days ago blow the dust off. They scrubbed the hull too. I guess the barnacles were holding her together? I suppose its our good fortune that it happened now and not out in the Gulf Stream at night, fishing for swords. So my trip is cancelled and my brother is headed down to lay her to rest. Here are some memories... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5L8...0C25453B4507E9 http://youtu.be/4J0_kB9pYic?list=PL4C0C25453B4507E9 [swords.jpg Pompano__20090226_008.jpg Pompano__20090226_002.jpg 17 lb Grouper.JPG 34 lb dolphin-3.jpg
