Default Found my Motor... and another v20

well i found my used motor i was looking for its a 1981 merc 200hp with 417 hours on it. Compression read 125,130,125,125,125,125.

The motor happened to be attached to another center console v20. Even crazier was my dad and Godfather bought this boat brand new in 1981. i thought it looked like it and it was confirmed by the serial number on the motor and the hull ID number... the old boat found its way home

the hull is trashed, transom is pretty much gone. i was surprised the motor didnt rip off it on the way home. the floor is soft and i didnt bother to look at the stringers.... so V20 community if anyone is looking for a project i have a hull that i will give you for free once i get the motor and anything else i want off of it.. you would just have to bring a trailer...

happy i am, should be back in the water by next week... if swapping motors goes as smooth as i hope
also have a 1988 johnson `175 as a parts motor that wil be cheap until i start ripping parts off for Ebay

I know I'm too sentimental, but I'd let her retire to the yard until I felt like a project.
