Default TODAYS CATCH! 5/21/07

we hooked up on about 24 sharks today, landed 17 and only two that we landed were legal. we lost some that we actually got to see that were close to 5'. only one trout and one flounder. all in all a good day. the red fish was pretty darn big to! ;D

It is always nice when your fish are bigger than your dog. ;)

They look like dog nose sand sharks, and if they are blead properly, it looks as if those have been, they are very good eatting.

I cut mine into steaks and grill them or sautee in butter and lemon pepper.

those are blacktip sharks and yes they are good eat'n! you definately have to bleed em out. i normally cut the tail all the way off but for legality reasons i left em attatched so the game wardens could measure them if need be. you can grill em up or cut em up into little nuggets and fry em. heck, just about anyway you want to.

Do you cut the tails as soon as you boat them?
Do you bleed them into your cooler?
