From Belmar NJ northward, usual stops for fluke.
Four keepers, one bluefish, half a dozen searobins and a drag stripping big ray, cut off after seeing. Saw another V20 or 21, believe powered with a merc. Exchanged waves. Wind turned S/ SE and choppy. Headed into it comfortably at 4,000 rpm using the tabs to full advantage to cut through without pounding. Nice, plus the big Etec HO has a lot of push. I'll continue to preach......V21 with trim tabs greatly improves the ride. Nice day. |

I will be joining you guys in Belmar once I get the bugs out of my V.
I have the 470 but I am determined to get it running in top shape (after sitting for 12 years!) So far, I got it running perfect except for high speed overheating. I just finished removing all the cooling system components and replaced the water pump again. I wanted to test run it today in the Delaware Rive but the storms kept me home. I expect to be launching out of Shark River sometime in August to do some Fluke fishing. Dan |
