Default Drunk drivers suck

This happened last weekend on mine and a friends way back from DI. We took Josh's boat for floundering and mine as well cause its a little better suited for fishing dock lights. I came over the DI bridge to see flashing lights and carnage thinking Josh was behind me but he was standing in the road next to a boat on the asphalt and a rolled over car. Some woman rear ended a boat, side swiped Josh's boat trailer and flipped. Thank God no one was hurt. I stuck around for a bit to make sure he had tools from my truck to bend the fender back enough to get it home. He called me about 45 minutes after I left and said the woman failed a breathalizer (at 7am mind you) and was cuffed in the troopers car.

Joshs only damage:

I just got this one from a buddy. He rolled up on this in the same exact spot today. I dont want to even ride through there with my boat anymore!!

Yep...exactly correct!!!

Wait till that second driver (assuming they survived) gets the bill for those twin Yammy 150's they destroyed... That's a new car sitting on the road there..

Dang, thats terrible! Dont know why folks cant stay home if they drink! Last year a young girl ran into my boat as I was taking it to Nags Head for a week vacation. Lucky I had the outdrive trimmed all the way up and it only scratched the lower unit up. Peeled her hood back like a tin can, busted her grill and headlight out and she backed up and hauled a$$ before I could get her lic number. Guy beside her said she was texting while driving.

Over the last 25 years I have seen drunk drivers do more damage than I can even remember, to themselves and innocent people...but our society seems to accept it...chances are the lady in this case will get a fine and her insurance will go up, but there is very little punishment for the crime.

that is so sad , 7 AM must have been on a all night bender ! Being a retired firefighter/medic. I have seen more than my share of the carnage these drunk and druged drivers cause combine that with texting and you have a deadly combination. at least now one was realy hurt in this crash but the loss of property was very large by the photos

DONT DRINK AND DRIVE
