Default voltage regulator vs chop meat

I know its hard to see where im going with this so let me explain
i need a voltage regulator for my 1988 150 mercury o.b. its a little box but how much is it you ask? try 220 to 247 dollars, thats robbery so to clear my head i go to shop rite to pick up some chop meat to throw on the grill sunday but can you believe it 449 a lb. for chop meat, what is going on, i cant afford to fish and now i cant afford to eat and forget about going for a ride, i cant afford the gas, and my pay was cut 15 percent and no raises for two years, oh and guess what, im a teamster too, sorry i went off subject but i had to vent my feelings and whats good about it is that so far it didnt cost me anything
have a great fathers day to everyone of you
p.s. i was out last week in sandy hook with my 1978 wellcraft when another wellcraft came buy and gave me the thumbs up and said what is it \i said 1978 and yours, he replyed 1985 i was just wondering if any of you was that guy

Seeing the deep dark forest through the trees gets a little scary.

Don't worry, it will get worse before it gets worse.

Shop around for a decent parts engine. You can probably find one for double what your little black box costs.

Without getting to political, just what did you expect to happen when our present commander in chief raised the national debt by 17 trillion dollars? You simply cannot spend money like it's going out of style and not expect to pay the piper some day. That day is rapidly coming upon us. And I hate to say it, but you ain't seen nuttin yet.
