Default one friggin' number....

so my wife calls me thursday morning before my first train and tells me she hit 5 out of 6 numbers on powerball. nowhere near what i would need to walk away from my job but it will ease some of the pressure over the summer.
see, i've been hustling all winter and decided to take an easy, short job for the summer. my wife is a building aide in the local high school so she loses her paycheck in the summer. we were worried about losing alot of money for the summer but this windfall will help us get through till the summer's gone.
ONE FRIGGIN' NUMBER AWAY AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN $365,000,000.
365 MILLION DOLLARS.
i would have quietly walked off the train and that would have been the last time i ever worked. oh well, she won 10 grand, $6,600. after taxes and we're very grateful for that.
ONE FRIGGIN' NUMBER!!!

Congrats on the 66!...
I say almost the same thing... "I'll still come to work cause I really believe that people NEED to work to keep healthy... But I'll have a whole different attitude".

(And I'm very willing to put that saying into effect after tonights drawing).

Charlie? I thought that 5 numbers out of six was worth a cool million?
At any rate congrats on the 6.6... that's a hella lot more than I've ever won from the lottery.

feel your pain, though not as severe, i hit 4 out of 5 on florida's fantasy five when it was a weekly drawing worth $250,000. i got about $350. i almost wished i had not got any, figured i had wasted my shot.
guy i used to work with played the same numbers for 4 years straight, you guessed it, he skips one week and they hit. he was physically ill for about 3 weeks

anyway, congrats and enjoy the summer now.

thanks all. real nice little bonus. destroyer, 5 numbers without the powerball would have been a million. 4 numbers with the powerball is 10 grand. there are a lot of "what if's" being tossed around my house last coupla days.
