THE first cam specs i got from ENZIO MANZELLA they are the specs of a new replacement camshaft
The specs look big for a stock cam anyone got any other cam specs for this engine my merc manual dont go into all this detail . the one i bought of ebay does alot of different engines i thought i was going to get one just for the 470

as most of you no im going for a solid grind and from some research there is not much power gain below 3000rpm but after 3000rpm the gains are there

The second one cam spec im looking at using soild lifter

some guys on here are saying to use the stock camshaft but that cam was made to suit the stock head and if you ever looked at the stock exhaust ports you wonder how it would breath

at the moment i have 22 cam grinds to choose from so i have alot to look at maybe too many and if you understand how camshaft specs affects the way and engine preforms you would wonder what merc techs were thinking when they come up with those valve opening and closing times
