Busted a few pigs, only one recovered, let the others run off and left em there.
First group that came through Friday PM: ![]() Picked out the bigest sow and let the 7mag bark.. ![]() Another group of 12 came in, shot a big boar but lost him in the dark. We was growling and not happy with me when I was after him on foot. Seen several small yearlings and young bucks Saturday. Wanted to get a doe for some meat but only had several spikes, cowhorns and fawns around me only. I finally seen what I thought was a nice doe come in with two little ones. I got "her" but it was so dark turned out to be a young buck. I guess they were following him around for a buddy. LOL The green lanterns and note are for a deer contest on another board Im on..its an inside joke over there. ![]() Here is one of the fields we have setup in a hub and spoke pattern. Its really works great..lots of deer filter in and out of the brush. 4 mature bucks killed on this one last year and the year before. There is several more fingers to the right you cant see.

Man I like that setup with the ridge at the treeline. Looks "deer-y?"

Good looking buck, although I was scared he might be wearing the green lanterns.

I got my pink thongs in my hunting pack for the next doe I get. I felt bad, he would have been a good one in a couple years, we only shoot 3.5YO bucks and older. But it happens and I got some meat.

Don't feel bad about shooting him. Sh!t happens and there is nothing you can do about it. Meat is meat and you cannot eat horns! Besides by the time they grow a nice set of antlers the meat really is not that great anymore.
