While I was in Washington ,nc this weekend I decided I had to stop by Fountain Boats. This is a picture of some of there molds stacked up. The line of molds was about 100 yards long. Looking at those molds was kinda intimidating. It seemed that the molds ranged from 24 to 36 foot. It was pretty cool to see the factory. Last edited by Kracker Jack; 12-02-2012 at 08:15 PM. |

You did not bring one back? I would think that the molds would be under pretty tight security. Did you get a tour of the inside? Did you go for a ride? Did you see one being laid up?

Did you meet Mr. Fountain himself?

I think Reggie Fountain has been replaced by a guy named John Walker. But no I went by there today so being a sunday they were closed. Back in the back was a chain link fence around there ramp dock area, and inside that fence was some pretty sweet rigs and im sure are test subjects at this moment. Im gonna try and go back someother time to be able to check them out closer.

Just did my homework on Fountain and your right. I guess I wont be stopping in to check it out. I thought to myself that the place looked kinda run down. the grass was growing around the molds but I figured they were just older designs that were pushed aside. The guys house we stayed at down there said that reggie was no longer ceo/president that the walker guy took over. Maybe thats back when they made the lastditch effort to save it?
