Haven't seen one of those since a kid when I watched " Flipper " on TV.

The dad / marine policeman used one and I thought it was a cool looking boat.

I'm guessing it was designed to ride with some of the characteristics of a catmaran and a deep V to ride soft.

Thanks for posting.

Porter Rick's launch on the show Flipper was actually a 22' Thunderbird Iroquois. The Thunderbird, like the Airslot was also a Richard Cole design.

I'll bet the Airslot rode much better.

That show was cool when I was growing up, never see re-runs of it anymore.

I love the Airslots. One of my friends used to have one and we would go out on it all the time. Great, dry riding boat with lots of space for fighting fish. Hull doesn't pound, and actually seems to float on the air at speed. This one looks like it's been well kept, and if there's nothing wrong with the hull that's a steal at that price...especially with the electronics he's thowing in and the trailer.. Nice find!!

I think the Airslot was the first production boat with a vented hull. I knew where one used to hang out in a boathouse near my parents. Interesting hull design to say the least.
