Luckily I had bought a spare and was in an area that I could anchor safely...
I think it was about 3 years old, it was the ignitor II which was supposed to have the current protection. It died when just trolling. Looks like I better get another spare or go back to points. rkc

check the resistance on the coil, that's what usually kills them
