Default My pertronix ignition failed yesterday.

Luckily I had bought a spare and was in an area that I could anchor safely...

I think it was about 3 years old, it was the ignitor II which was supposed to have the current protection. It died when just trolling.

Looks like I better get another spare or go back to points.

I've been hearing of quite a few failures of the new IGNITOR II units here lately in all kinds of applications.

check the resistance on the coil, that's what usually kills them
