Steering system for 1991v20 with 150Yamaha

I am in need to replace the steering cable and hub for my 1991 v20 which goes directly thru my 150 yamaha. Is there a good place to find this part and does anyone know what I should be looking for, the marina said the engine would have to be removed to do the job and the quote was over 1200. Gotta do it myself...any help figuring this out would be appreciated. Mike from CT.
