Default Under Hatch Paint

What should I use to paint the back side of a floor hatch after repairing with new wood and reglassing the back?

MJ is right... I wouldn't paint it.

But, if you must paint it, just paint it with the same stuff you're painting the deck with...

No reason. Saw that originals where painted and thought there was more of a reason than asthetics.

If there is no sealing or protection added by paint then i guess no big deal.

Thanks.

just a couple notes
if the resin will be exposed to the sun you need to paint it or gel it. also im not sure if you put wax in your final layup but if not it will be sticky and a pita to clean. like the previous post stated its a hatch cover and the backside wont be in the sun and it wont get dirty.
