I dont know if anyone can help me with this but here it goes
i have a 1978 ez load trailer and on the very back on the bottom there is a pipe the goes from one end to the other that is bent almost like a hourse shoe and held on with u bults, its rusted real bad and what is it there for can i remove it, there are hole in the plates that hold it on and i put a s.s. bar thru it so it will hold the frame in place if i take it off but i dont even no if thats what its there for

Believe it's there to aid centering the boat while loading.
I hate them and always remove them.
