Default Starboard list

I have noticed that my 86 v20 steplift has devloped a list to starboard. The scupper is almost under water. I am not taking on water. I have tried to move all that I store on the boat to the port side. One thought that I have had ,Is it possible for the fule tank to shift?

By what I have seen on how the tanks are in there is no way for it to move?? It is foamed all the way around.

Maybe you have gained weight?? and have to stand more to the other side ;D

How is the boat stored?
In water or on trailer or dry rack?

Seakindly. I keep the boat in a slip in East Greenwich cove. I have checked my dock lines, plenty of slack.

OK... it was floating level when you put in this spring... right?

Now it is starting to list to starboard.

My guess is water is getting into your foam on the starboard side.

Check waterseals on drains, hatchs etc. on the starboard side.

Capt K. - Couple of things to check.

1. Adjusting the zinc trim tab on your outboard (your's might have worn away or fallen out of position)

2. Battery Placement - have you added a second battery, larger battery, or has the battery shifted? Mine was on the starboard side . . . many people have added a second battery to the opposite side (Mac _Attack . . . I beleive did this)

3. If all these two things check out . . . . have you noticed more water than normal in your bilge?

Like Seakindly said water in the foam in the will cause you boat to list.

4. Bennett or Lenco Trim Tabs will fix your problem and give you overall better performance from the boat . . . just make sure that your not overlooking the obvious stuff first.
