Default Toyota Sequoia

Somehow, I came into a couple bucks, ($3,000 to $5,500) and I知 looking for something with some balls. I知 not really familiar with the sequoia but I know Toyota quality. Looks like something in the 2000 to 2007 range would be in my price point. I知 not against a Tahoe, Yukon or suburban, but try to find one without leather interior. Those seats really get beat to sh!t!!
So what do you guys think/know?!?
Would love to find something with less than 150,000 miles.

What you're asking about would be a 1st generation Sequoia. I have a 2nd gen (2012) which I like very much. I believe if you find one with the SR5 package which is the base model it will have cloth seats like mine. I looked for a 1st gen for a long time but they all had atrociously high miles on them. I was buying for family truckster duty so I had to go higher $ to find a 2nd gen with only 50K miles on it. I still drive a 2000 Suburban (376K miles and counting) for work and to be honest when I tow the PD I use it, not the Sequoia. It just seems to tow easier/better. (All my towing is local)

For $5,500 or less I think you're going to find a larger selection of GMs as opposed to Toyotas. Don't like leather? Put seat covers on it.

Happy hunting.

for example. There are more on CL in the region. Didn't see any Sequoias in your price range.

I recovered the leather sets in my Tahoe with new foam and leather. Got em of eBay from a guy in Texas

Made a big difference.

No idea what your driving now, but not sure i would describe the Chevy 5.3 as having balls

Pipe, I知 learning that the 4Runner from the same era had the same motor, and I知 assuming the same tranny. Other than the initial bringing her home haul, I have a ramp about half a mile away and another about 3.5 miles down the road.
Phat, as far as balls, a round trip to the far ramp is less than 8 miles, including the drive through the gas station. 5.3 is more than ballsy enough for my local ramps. Only issue is, as you can see... the mileage on a 15-20 year old truck. Another good thing, my round trip to and from work is less than two miles per day.
I知 assuming the little V8 in the 4Runner will be adequate for dragging 4,000 pounds of boat and trailer up the ramp.
I壇 love to go with something with a bed, but they seem to command a premium.

its hard to find anything Toyota with less than 300k for under $10000. People pay stupid money for them. I still have my 02 Suburban, cloth seats and 282k on the original drive line.

Heck yeah. Even my '95 4Runner with a 3.0 V-6 (the "three-point-slow) moved my V-20 locally for years. For those distances you don't need to be too worried about being "ballsy."
