Default surging issue

hey all, after getting a reluctant clearance from my surgeon im getting ready to splash the Deplorables. she has been running great in my boat driveway the 3 or 4 times I ran her over the last few months, but when I went out to just start her before splashing she is now surging when I bring her up from idle. I decided to give a look at the vst filter and oxygen sensor. the vst filter looks good to me , very good actually. the o2 sensor looks good as well, installed new water fuel separator too . I for the life of me cant believe the price of the vst filter ! Anyway , what else should I be looking for

Fuel has been in since I brought her home from the slip in December . I was afraid someone was going to ask a fuel question !!

I'll be running the motor off a different /fresh supply of fuel this weekend just to eliminate that as the cause . I have a feeling that I'll just have the same results with the surging . I've noticed that the rpms at idle have gone from its normal 600/700 when warmed up to 900/1000, seems as though the motor is compensating some how. Going to look toward fuel injectors after that .

If you think it is injectors...run a bottle of Redline SI1...if it clears up afterwards, you had dirty injectors, if you still have the same issue...its not the injectors most likely.

As I mentioned a week ago I tried running her on a fresh outboard tank and had the very same issue. So I pulled the injectors and msent Them out. Got them back today and now she's purring like a kitten again ! As Phil Robertson would say, Happy Happy Happy !
