As far as I know they always had the ability to be rehubbed. I've got 2, 3, 4 and 6 cylinders able to be rehubbed. Is it over revving initially and finally getting on plane or just slow to get on plane?

Around the early 70's OMC went to rubber hubbed props and got away from shear pins, so most any outboard for teh last 30 years over 10HP has a hubbed prop.

Well I guess that's what has screwed me up. My OMC 25hp is pinned and my 2.5 hp Suzuki is pinned. I just didn't think the technology was there until later on.I even had an old 40 HP evinrude that was shear pinned.
