| freshwater washdown

Who has added a freshwater washdown? What type of tank did you install (flexible, plastic) and where did you locate it? Also where did you buy it? I think this could be about a $300 project well worth doing. In my '82 cuddy, I have a void in the floor forward of the fuel tank. I was thinking of building a cooler/fishbox, but have decided I don't have the skill and creativity to build something nice, so I've held off. Lately I've been thinking this would be a perfect spot for a water tank and extra fuel tank. |

i have an 85 cuddy, i added 2 pvc saddle tanks under the rod boxes in the gunnells. i used 2 pieces of 3" pvc about 4 or 5 feet long. i tied them together in the stern and put a pump with a built in pressure switch there. this is a shot of the port side looking under the stern storage bin, the pvc tube coming up is the fill this is a shot of the pump woth the connecting tubing coming from both sides this is a shot of the starboard side the biggest drawback to the way i did it is the capacity. i only hold about 6 gallons, but it is great for a quick rinse and cleaning sunglasses. it would be nice to have 10 or 15 gallons. this is the pump and the t that both sides tie into. |

I have a regular white water tank 13 gallon installed under the liner, it has the same pump as Phat described with a shower nozzle attachment. Love it.

Thanks, Phat... exactly what I needed to see for motivation. I really like the PVC tubes instead of buying a tank.
