Question Center console storage?

I have a 1990 fisherman center console and well there isn't much for storage.

I have the two compartments on the bow full with safety gear and the anchor.

The two compartments on the sides on the stern of the boat are full of batteries and the oil tank for the vro pump.

The compartment on the floor in the stern is jam packed full of fishing lures.

Im left with no more storage for anything and the only places I can think to make something would be in the fishbox and bait well which aren't in use or make something in the center console (which I thought I saw done on this site before, but I can't find it now)

What is want to store is lures in the little plastic boxes. Dipsys, jets and inline planer boards.

If anyone has done any modifications and would like to share some pics or ideas I'd love to hear them

Thanks

Post a pic of your console. If its like the console in the 18 Fisherman I have, then i would build a rack system to slide plano boxes in with a door to keep them in there. I have seen them without a door and use bungees across each slot opening to hold the boxes in. I plan to make two leaning posts with fishboxes and tackle storage. What I just said was my idea for the tackle storage. Its pretty much a build to suit your needs thing. Some companies even make a compartment that you cut a hole and install it and done.

Decided to utilize the fish box for storage.

Plan on taking the plastic bottom out and building one out of wood. Making slots to hold te plastic lure boxes in. That will take up about half the dis box and with the other half I plan on cutting compartments to size to throw inline boards and dipsys/jet divers in. I also plan on making something to hang perch spreaders on as well.

I figure good treated wood with small holes drilled In the bottom for water drainage should work out just fine. It shouldn't get too wet covered by the deck. I'm open to suggestions though.

I probably won't do this until the boat is out of the water but I will take pics of the project. I'm my mind it should work out well for what I need but we will see

there was another member here that instead of wood he used that plastic wood for floor tank covers, strong and will last forever! wood even PT is going to rot after a while.
But sounds like you have a good plan other wise!
