Default Capt Pete: THE Man!!

The man who tamed the Merc!!...

Up and planed out, the Merc has been runnin' pretty good..but thanks to a mysterious LIGHT of the timing kind showing up here from Florida, courtesy of RidgeRunner(along w/a Clymer manual), Capt Pete laid hands on the Merc yesterday and NOW the Merc REELY purrs!!...perfectly RPMed at idle, stays running when popped outta gear approaching the dock, idles down for slow trolling and all...Pete is the real deal, no doubt...

He came down w/a sinus thing which prevented fishin' this morning and is on his way back home now, so we'll have to chase stripers on Lake Hartwell another day, but we did get to test run the boat after he dialed it in on Lake Bowen..

Travel safe, Pete...and come back whenever ya can!!...for friends like you, we're always open

thanks for the kind words Ozzie. I made it home without a problem. Got back around 6:30. you are a true friend, you opened your house to me as if I were family. I truely appreciated all of your hospitality. Any time you are up this way I would love to repay the favor and have you and the Mrs. at our house.

I was starting to sweat the idle on that old girl. Flywheel cover helps tremendously on link-n-sink, otherwise your kinda guessing at the timing.. Glad it got sorted out. Not real bad on fuel either. Thanks Capt. Pete.

Thats a good running motor Vic. Suprised the heck out of me when I pulled the cowling off. A mut motor kinda like mine, love it.

Ridge, I think Pete will agree...even he couldn't have dialed it in that close if you hadn't taken the initiative to ship the timing light and manual up here...onece again, THANKS Old Buddy...

And Spare, fret not...we put the timing cover on long enough to do the deal...the smiley face is still smilin'!!...
