Smile Information needed asap

Hi again sports fans... new to the game is this latest entry:

http://newjersey.craigslist.org/boa/2673039219.html

There are 3 types of hulls I like... Cuddy Cabin, Pilot House and Walk Around. I don't know that much about Sea Swirls personally, although I have heard some nice things about them...So my question is, does anyone have any direct experience with them, and if so, what are your feelings. And of course, anyone that has any opinion is more than welcome to chime in, since I highly value everyone's opinion here.

Never been a fan of them, if I remember correctly(correct me if I'm wrong). they were built along side the neptunes in Columbia SC in the old Sunbird plant. I personally don't think they match up with a V
How about this http://www.boattrader.com/listing/19...epter-99971722

If I were going to move up from a V20, it would be to a 23 Seacraft, next step up would be a 26 Bertram(outboard model or converted)
get in touch with Big Shrimpin(if he comes around here any more), he can find you a good one

I looked at one of them years ago when I was buying my Grady White, seemed like they were pretty cheeply made...but that was in 1993 or 1994, they may have improved later.

Another thing to consider, you are going to have to get up near the 24-25 foot range to have the same cockpit space as a V.

True, but I gain all the front room that is lost with a cuddy cabin. That's why I like walk arounds... all the space of a center console with a small cuddy for weather protection.

Spare, I don't want to move up in size... I have a 22 Cruisers now, down form a 25 Allmand, and my V is down from the Cruisers...The cheaply made is the comment(s) I was looking for. Still, I'm obligated to go see the boat tomorrow, so I'll let everyone know what she looks like up close and personal.

Thanks to you both for the info. :)

Cool

OK, just got back from looking at the boat... (yes, at 12am in the morning)... Truthfully, she is beautiful. Great trailer..4 wheel brakes, zero rust, newer tires. The boat itself has all the options, trim tabs, clean, etc. Full enclousure, nice seats, etc. The problem is she's not really a walk around as I know them ... more like an indented deck so they could call it a walk around. Very deep cabin, more like a cruiser...Plenty of space to sleep several adults......luxurious... But all this luxury comes at a price..and the price is a tiny aft end for fishing... I mean tiny.. like maybe 3 feet from the cabin to the stern fold down seats? I hate to, but I'm gonna pass... and the engine is pristine...<sigh>.. And so the search continues....

have you looked at older pursuits? I used to have a 21, I never finished it(its the original spareparts boat, I traded it for the Mitchell). They are extremely well built, have solid glass stringers. See if you can find one thats been repowered

My dream boat, well at least one I think I may be achieveable, is a Parker 23 WA with the OB on a bracket. I almost bought one of them way back when.

I gotta go along with you Randlemanboater.. I've loved Parkers for a long time...almost as long as Wellcrafts. Not too sure on the outboard on a bracket "look" though. Never really cared for it on any boat. But if I could get a Parker like that I "think" I could make an exception.
