Default Guale Girl - 08.13.11

Lots of boats(KF Tourney) but looked like I was the only droppin on bottom. Good thing because the bite was on until it slowed at noon.

Bait everywhere from inside of SFC all the way to R5 and even marked a ton at the 40mi and the current was non-existant. Hit an always productive number and had some smaller B-liners from there but got busy doing something while drifting and then I peeked backed up at the GPS and marked my newest spot, "Snaps by the Dozen". It was as many as you wanted to catch on every drop. Most between 12 and 18lbs with a few juvies thrown in the mix. We had to leave that spot because they were wearin me out and buddy I looked pretty slippery after winchin a pile up from the bottom and NO BREEZE to help recover.

We hit a few more numbers to find the big BSB's before calling it a day at 230 due to the slow bite.

We ended with a limit of BSB's and a limit of B-liners. Caught a TON of ARS on live and dead bait. Would have liked to have seen some porgies and/or triggers but oh well.

Probably 30 boats out there trollin and unfortunately had to get in front of a few to drop(100-200yards or so) but everyone was courteous and accommodating as they should have been(means I didn't get yelled at for making someone steer 25' to the side). Thanks fellas

My Lowrance DSI just got here........... you're in big trouble now fishes

Lucky Jack - .......The Surprise is not old; no one would call her old. She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine seaboat: weatherly, stiff and fast, very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old; she's in her prime.
