Not yet, your girl is safe and sound at a residence in Jacksonville. The neighbor has 2 like new 20' Ranger bass boats so I think the swiss craft is safe for now. The truck isn't fixed yet either. New fuel rails on the way and injectors. Me thinks I would go a different route next time. Lesson learned
Did you splash the 21 yet? We are anticipating great things.

"Swiss-Craft"...LOL!!...and I still got the pics to prove it...

Did the bad fuel F-up the rails or coincidental failure to buying that fuel?...

The mechanic cleaned the fuel tank, pick up, sock filter, fuel lines and spun on a new filter but could not get it to run. Suction was within specs (whatever that means) The hard lines have to be removed from the injectors for removal and the rails were full of water and debris. The mechanic said there were small holes inside the rails that could be clogged up and it really wasn't servicable so they ordered new ones with a three day wait for shipping. Injectors would be next IMO, but they don't really know how many or if they can be cleaned. Ferm said the aftermarket injectors are not as good as Bosch so I don't know how that will go.

The fuel rails are nothing more than logs basically, and there really isn't any reason they can't just be cleaned out. IIRC they open up at each end so you could run a brush through them on the 04.5+ engines, even my LB7 has plugs that can be removed for cleaning.

Ferm, I appreciate the input. I believe the holes the mechanic was referring to are where the hard lines leave the log and go to the injectors. I never had one off, never seen one inside so I can't hold a conversation about it. Could the rails need replacing due to rust/debris?
I believe my truck to be in good hands, the injector balance test is next when they can finally get some fuel to the injectors.
For those who are new here, THEFERMANATOR, IS THE MAN ON THE DURAMAX DIESELS. He has helped me greatly and for that I owe him one.
