Default Control box for a 1994 60 evinrude?

I got a side mount control box with this 1994 Evinrude 60. IT is not in the best shape in the world, and the cables are super too long. Any suggestions? IS there a way to upgrade to a new box with an older engine? Any to get shorter cables? If they weren't so long i'd just loop them up, but i'm gonna have about 8ft. of extra cable... Thanks guys. Appreciate all the help already, and all the help to come. Craigan.

My console is the forward model.

I can measure tomorrow, but i'd def. take those cables off of your hands if they will fit. Let me know what you want for them. I'll trade you if you want longer ones. These are prolly off of a 18-20ft boat.

the ones I had were far shorter. You can find the cables on line for around $25-$30 each, if you can't locate them, let me know
