does anyone how to test the oil injection system on a Yamaha carbed 150. i know on my merc you disconnected the oil feed from the pump and ran it a x rpm for x minutes and it should pump x ounces. if not , what is involved in disconnecting it?

yours should have a screw to loosen and that simultaneously purges the system of air. you could always run it on premix fuel and pull each line off and see if its pumping.

if thats the case, then what you want to do is, disconnect the main line going into the small tank on the engine. place that in a tupperware bowl. then pull out the float switch on the small tank on the engine and turn it upside down. that will give the impression that the small tank on the engine is empty and make the tank in the boat start pumping to fill the small tank on the engine. If you have a return to port switch just hold it up and that will make the tank in the boat start pumping. Either way you will be able to tell if the pump is working.
