| Oconee County Deputy

Towing w/out brakes makes me more aware of things happening in front...but this one BLEW me AWAY!!... My daughter got open water certified (SCUBA) last weekend at Lake Jocassee...took the V up to intercept her after classes over... Hwy 11 Scenic Hwy going up there is lotta long hills and long curves. I'm cresting a hill w/several cars behind me to find an Oconee County Deputy making a U-turn just over the blind side of the hill, so I'm gettin' all over the brakes and waitin' on the cars behind me to start crashin' into me ...and this a$$hole makes no attempt to get on down the road to get traffic going again...instead, he's busy dealing w/whatever inside his car and weaving from center-line to grass at 45-50 mph...more cars continue to stack up behind me and now this a$$hole... He finally straightens out, picks up some speed and we're clippin' along pretty good for several miles when he STOPS his car on a 45* angle across the center-line to pick up something a motorcyclist has dropped and is patiently waiting for traffic to clear to retrieve...but our NUMB-NUTS Deputy Dawg's gotta STOP in the middle of a BUSY hiway, opens his door and reaches down to pick it up, finally realizes he's not the only person on the planet, sees me and all this backed up traffic hurtling towards him, but it's too late for this a$$hole to do anything...I swerve toward the shoulder, two wheels on the grass (4 wheels w/the trailer) and keep gettin' it, as do all the cars behind me while whistle-dique remains in the middle of the hiway...I never looked back and the rest of trip to lake uneventful except for the fun we had... Still cannot believe what this MORON did I should have gotten the number off his car and turned him in, but I didn't...
