Just curious. Last time I went out I stuck it in some shallow water and was just wondering whats the shallowest a moderately loaded V20 can go. There's some new fishing spots I want to try out but not sure if it is safe to try to get there in the V.

Trim the motor up so you are not sucking mud but are sucking water
and you can go in about 2 feet of water. Don't ask how I know that.

That's another advantage of havin' an electric trollin' motor...I can use it to ease thru 1 1/2' areas to get to where they are if needed...

![]() ![]() I hear if you tilt the motor all the way up and get two guys to push while one stands on the bow you can get thru 1' with ease....right Franco?

It depends on how bad you want to get there. I lived on Calcasieu Lake for 10 years. Our boat slip and canal were about 5' deep, but once into the lake there was about 200 yards of shallow shoreline to get across. I'd have everyone sit on the bow hanging over the rail while the props barely slapped the water. It wasn't high speed, and I wouldn't recommend it for miles but we got out and went fishing when the depth didn't allow.

I've putt putted w/ kicker in 18" of water w/o any problem. The one time I got stuck in 1',...I had everyone move to one side and we floated free.
Generally tho' I like 3' under it.
