Default Foam filled hull??

My hull has foam filling undernearth deck around the fuel tanks and out to the outboards. Is that something that someone has done or did they come from the factory like that????

I'm not sure of the pedastal height. The foam came standard on most boats with under deck gas tanks. Basically the foam holds the tank in place. Unfortunately it can also soak up water and even leaking gas and cause some problems.

Default Interesting possibility to mount seat swivel on.

Double Step

TODD'S Boat & Dock Steps are offered in three different sizes. These lightweight, movable steps are made from U.V. resistant polyethylene for years of dependable service. The unique 1 1/2" wide bottom flange provides plenty of surface for mounting to your dock. Clean Up is made easy at the end of the day with just soap and water. Hand rails for the two and three step models are sold separately. Each model step is nestable upon itself for easy storage and shipping.
Dimensions
D=26 3/4" W=23 1/2" H=17" Part #: TBS202

It would free up any soft floor problems and provide storage on interior and a seat or foot rest depending how it was positioned.

Default seats and foam

I like the step thing...think it would be a possibility to mount a seat on. Although if I don't want to go with that what size pedestal will I need for factory height seats.
Also, the foam thing scares me if they can absorb water. Thats not good at all. Did they all absorb water right from the start or did something have to occur to cause it..ie. gas soaked, scarred badly etc. Its scary cause this hull I have was sitting uncoverd for a very long time.
