Well, I arrived back from Massachusetts on Monday and the high in Indianapolis was 93 freaking degrees. Today is Thursday, and the high is going to be 58. Feels like chili weather to me. Any of you have some favorite chili recipes you care to share?

Just go buy a packet of McCormick's chilli seasoning
and follow the directions. Only use the amount in the pack that will spice it the way you like. It is a good quick no muss no fuss chilli recipe. ![]() I just noticed on their site that they have three other variations and a recipe. http://www.mccormick.com/productdetail.cfm?id=6291

By the way, it's very interesting with small chunks or strips of meat instead of ground.

Went to a chili cookoff last year. Winner out of 50 entrys had a very good mix of sausage, home grown peppers, steak etc. But the secret ingredient was a bottle of Patron.

Nipper, I like to get different variations of tomatoe like 2 big can can of paste 2 can of diced and like 1 can of whole tomatoes and maybe some fresh out of the garden depending on time of year. I season with chili powder,a little garlic powder and white pepper. And onions, green peppers and meat of choice. Like tsubaki said very size of meat from ground meat to diced meat to chunk meat it really gives it some substance. Overall chili is easy just depends on you and your guests taste. And don't forget the fritos, sour cream and cheddar cheese!!!!! Good luck!!
