I want for my 250 Wellcraft

If I had the money i'd put these on my 250 Wellcraft wow 500 HP on that bracket

I think twin 250's on the back of a 250 would be too scary for me. What kind of speed are you shootin' for? I'm satisfied with the performance I'm getting from my single 1986 Yamaha V6 Special (220HP), but considering it's 21 years old I have the same attitude about my motor as my job... always be looking for your next one. I'll definitely stick with a single anywhere from 225HP to 300HP but if I were thinking twins I'd probably say 150's minimum and 200's max. According to Wellcraft the hull is rated for 300HP max.

What's the current status of your 250 project?

mine just needs motors but it's not a outboard boat it's a Sea-Drive full transom with the twins bracket they have a higher rating at 450 on those and larger fuel tanks 250 gallon ugh, had twin 200's but i have a set of 225's for it, i really want a set of twin E-Tec 175's

I just wish I could find a nice 248/250 in my price range. I've driven one with twin 225 EVINRUDES and wasn't the happiest with it(to stern heavy for me). I want one with a pair of 4 cylinder outboards, or a single V-8 I/O. I have a nice 315HP 350 in the shop as well as a BRAVO 1 outdrive to go with it. Just can't find a boat priced reasonably enough for me now. Before I got the engine and outdrive I could find 248's laying around for $2K or less with trailers needing repower. The last 248 I called on needed a new transom and stringers, and he wanted $3500 for it with a bad trailer to boot. Hopefully somethin else will come along this winter.

So are you going to hang onto the 250? Twin 175's would be a sweet setup.

One thing that I want to do something about is anchor and rode storage. I think I remember seeing where you were adding a pulpit but what are you going to do about storing the rode. Mine has no anchor locker or deck pipe. I assume yours is the same?

mine has an anchor roller with pulpit and windless in the cabinin a box to control the anchor.

Well Ferm are you willing to come to NC for one? i found one that has a 3.0 Sea-Drive on it and has full transom.

original sorry i don't have any pics currently i'll try to get you some. most of them had pulpits as original equiptment

hey Ferm here's you one but you'll need frank to get you the number to call, Frank it's located on the road going to Harkers Island after you turn off 70 at the gas station it will be onthe right in the curve across from tbe fresh shimp shop

The boat has a solid floor itself but the floor hatch over the fuel tank is soft but the floor is soild every where else i could find.

SKOOLZ now you got me droolin man ;D. Wish I could find one like that local to me. If I had my 6.5 up and goin I'd be on my way already. Unfortunately I have to get my housing fixed up and squared away so I can move out of my current place :'(. Priorities first though ************** >:(.
