Default any one ever convert a cuddy cabin into a cc?

has any one ever done this. i would have no use for a cuddy cabin so i figured if i have to replace some things any way why can't i cut the cabin out get rid of the windshield. make some sides that do from the top to the deck. just an idea.

Or, you could sell your cuddy and buy a CC model ;D

Sorry, couldn't resist saying that! I'm sure it could be done, but with all the work and $$ involved, I think you'd be better off buying the CC model. You know, they also have a dual console model with a walkthrough windshield that looks like a hybrid cross b/t a CC and a cuddy.

Macojoe would kill for one, but he'd have to address those skimpy side winders :o You see, he's not tough enough to handle a little spray (don't let those tatoos fool you). ;D JK MJ :D

never tried it but there is no stuctural support to hold the front solid. I won't suggest trying that. If you want a CC, better buy a CC. when you remove the cap the front of the hull gets wavey abd isn't real stable. that's in my opinion.

Suggest buying a CC.

Here's a CC in NY. You've probably seen it on eBay:

I was thinkin' the same as Skool B4 readin' his post...pretty sure hull across bow would lose structural integrity...nothing to keep sides of hull in place...couldn't recommend anyone do that...agree better to START w/a CC...look around (stay on this board) and you'll find one... ;)...

Now, on the other hand, if you're a structural engineer and expert fiberglass tech...have at it... ;D...post pics...

actually im 21 on my way to becoming an mechanical engineer. i would figure a way to make sure its sound. you would need some sort of a step up ther and make some u stringers that went all the way to the top side. but i would have to take a close look at it. if some one sees one on the east coast let me know. i would prefer a i/o model with a shot motor so i could have a full transom.
