Default USEING SEARCH ON V20.COM

I post this in the interest of helping others to make the most of the shared knowledge recorded on this website.

Welcome to all the new members and greetings to all the veterans. :)

When you have a question - do yourself and everyone else a favor and do a preliminary search on the topic you are interested in.

When searching this site - be sure to change the setting for "max age since last post". It is currently set for 7 days by default. When I search, I change this setting to 700 days. That lets me see all the relevant posts since this site was created by Bigshrimpin.

When you have done your preliminary search and read the many excellent posts that will come up, you will probably have the answer to your original question, as well as your next question. At that point, you may have another even more specific question that has not been addressed yet. By all means -- ask it -- as I am sure that whoever is around and able to answer will do so.

As this site ages, members will come and go - but they will leave their wisdom behind. Don't miss out. 8)

Good info to post Seakindly. As the site grows there will be a lot of redundancy. But that's okay. The search is a good feature because many topics have been covered in the year since the site was launched.

Bigshrimpin, thanks for moving this one over. I think you should make this one the sticky thread, and just delete the one that I transplanted with my crude cut and paste job. (you know -- break out the grinder)
