Default More Trouble!!

My uncle went fishing Saturday in the V20 with some friends. First, he had battery issues. We think we are now having alternator problems now. Then he found that the fuel flow meter went out. Next, the trim tabs would not work. And to top it off, he had a trailer tire lose its treading and had to change it. He still had a good day fishing. The funny thing is, all of this worked fine last weekend. This is a bit frustrating right now. Well at least he saved my weekend coming up. I will just have to use the bay boat. It is a 2000 Fishmaster 23ft. Oh well, at least that boat has been dependable.

All that stuff probably woulda happened, to you if you'd had the boat out...try lookin' at it this way...HE took the hit of havin' to deal w/all the probs... ;)...doesn't sound like any of those issues coulda been "user caused"...as long as there are boats, there are gonna be boat problems... ;) :)...

Hey I've always said "A Boat is a Hole in the Water to Throw your Money In".

Y'all are right. My uncle took the headaches out of it instead of me dealing with it. But you gotta understand something. We keep our boats 50 miles away hanging on straps over the water at the camp. When we get the chance to go fishing, we hope and somewhat expect that our gear won't crap out often. We have dealt with problems all of my life. However, 4 problems in one day is a bit much. For the past couple of years, it has been a constant strain to keep all parts functional on the boat. So, I can only compare it to our other boat which has been close to flawless. I understand that the V20 is twenty years old, but it just severely cuts into the available fishing time when problems arise. This doesn't change the fact that the hull is still awesome, I am only wishing for more reliabilty (fingers crossed). I am thinking that my uncle is cursed temporarily.
