Cover fabric options
I'm looking at a new cockpit cover. Any wisdom to impart as to the different fabrics that can be used for this. I was talking to one guy about Sun King vs. Sunbrella. Another was Deckmate. 'ncstepv' has a nice cover of some kind of heavy canvas. Any others I should be asking about? I really don't know to much about this. Any pros and cons of these or any fabrics is appreciated.

Got nothing for you wiseguy, if I have the money might get one next year but I have had decent experience with home depot type brown tarps for 39.00. My friend has the sunbrella and is happy with it, on his second season with it. From what I have heard the other materials out there are good also. The big difference in price seems to come with construction ( sewing, snaps etc.)

WG, somebody posted pic of their covered boat recently...ZACKLY what I'd do if startin' over...search covers or cockpit covers...it really is the way to go in terms of how best to do it...think he also mentioned what fabric he used, too, but you sure won't go wrong w/Sunbrella... ;)...mine snaps across windshield front and sides, so only covers seats and dash...7 yrs old and like new... :D...
